Eulalia Virginia Hoover (Adams)

When Eulalia Virginia Hoover Adams was born on August 23, 1910, in Mississippi, her father, James, was 40, and her mother, Lillie, was 24. She was affectionately known as “Auntie Sister” She had two brothers and four sisters. She attended Lincoln Elementary School in Alameda CA. She graduated from Alameda High School. She owned Friendly Food Store, a grocery store in Oakland CA. She and her husband headed Second Union Baptist Church in San Francisco CA. They were entrusted with raising three children (non biological) Edna Mae, Gwendolhn Joyce and James (Jimmie) Dean. She died on July 14, 2008, at the age of 97.
